I am using windows 7 ultimate.when i put genx 4gb usb its showing write protected.I couldn't make make format.what is the procedure for remove write protection.please reply

The USB pen may have a read only switch on the USB pen itself. Have a look on the USB stick for a little switch, and change the switch to the alternate setting.
If you cannot find a switch on the pen itself, then there may be software installed on the usb stick itself, either way you’ll have to review your user manual for directions as to how to disable it.
You may also want to try the usb pen on a different computer, as there may be settings on the current computer that may be stopping the write process on the pen or a hardware fault.
