im trying to move the songs from one computer to another, i already have them saved from one computer to the jump drive, but i can't figure out how to get them saved to the other computer. help?

BUT when I try to move the info to the MAC I only get like 2 Gig and then it is wacky. Can t move it and then have to power Mac down to remove stick .The info 16 gb is on the stick but refuses to move to the MAC. Am i saking too much from this 2000.00 POS.

I saved a word document file onto my flash drive and the flash drive broke! I'm trying to recover the file on my computer; it recognized that I typed the document on my computer, but it can't find it because I don't have the flash drive anymore. Is there any way to work around this?

Thumb Drive: How To Give A Cat A Pill? (2/15/2012)
1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Gently force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans; drink 1 beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and mild soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard, and close door on neck, to leave head showing. Gently force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with an elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer. Fetch bottle of scotch. Pour shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Call fire department to retrieve the damn cat from across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie the little bastard's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table. Find heavy-duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of filet steak. Be rough about it if necessary. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for SPCA to collect the "mutant cat from hell" and call local pet shop to see if they have any really small hamsters.

There is a disagreement between me and someone else of when to scan a jump drive. Is it safe to open a jump drive before you scan it for viruses(ie virus scan is done)? Thoughts?
We receive jump drives from various customers. It is not our own jump drive. We do not know where these jump drives have been.
Another deeply personal song off Lyfe's fourth and proclaimed last album is "It Coulda Been Worse," on which reminds us to look on the bright side of things. I am trying to get my Fujitsu Lifebook B2610 to boot to a USB jump drive. The options for boot in my BIOS are the floppy, and the harddrive only. I found an update to the BIOS, but I don't know if this will fix the issue, I am afriad to try it because I don't have a way to restore to computer to it's current state. Does any one know if this problem is fixed in the current BIOS update for the B2610?

Windows Vista to Windows 7…soooo confused?
I have 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premuim. I really want to pre order Windows 7 and I want to clean install it preferably (I have no clue how to though) I DO NOT want to lose my music, pics and the copy of Word 2007 (I dont have the hard copy any more and I dont want to pay for it again) I can put all of my pics and music into a flash drive so thats no biggie. But I absolutely do not want to lose my Word 2007, I had a trail version when I got this computer and I had to buy a full license I no longer have the cd and If I do a clean install will I lose my word 2007??? If I will then how do I back it up? Do you recommend doing a clean install or would it be better for me just to install it OVER
vista?? If I did the latter, will my hard drive have space taken up by vista and W7??? Im really confused bc all of the backup and clean install videos really confuse me...its like they expect me to know how to do this already (and I dont lol). Or can I pay staples to backup and install my crap for me bc I really dont want to do this by myself....do they do that??? Oh I have a HP G60-230us by the way if that helps....

I have a pretty cheap dane-elec 256 MB jump drive and when I plug it in to my ibook G4 it says there are 0 items on the drive but there are only 6.7 MB available so I can't download anything onto the drive because there isn't enough room. How do I make sure my drive is clean? It seems to be compatible with my Mac OS X 10.3.9 but it's essentially useless now.

Recently, I have decided I need to use a day planner again.
For years I have used a Palm device. My last device was a palm Treo 650.
I stopped using it because of audio quality.
I have been using a Pen drive with several portable apps on it. This is 8 gig in capacity and holds everything I need in my life from day to day. It becomes cumbersome when I can not access Dates or To-Do list with out a computer present. (This happens very often.)
I am looking for a device like the Lifedrive that palm has seemed to discontinue.
Large capacity, PIM software that runs on the device. I would also like it to play my music, watch videos and view pictures. Lastly being able to use it as a portable thumb device is also a requirement this will allow me to still us it for some of the portable apps I still need to run,.
These seem to be all things the Lifedrive can do. Is there another current device that can do this?

My mother can get crazy at times because she takes medicines that are slowly killing her but saving her at the time being. She has broken a tendon in her finger and its not able to be fixed because her body will cause it to break.She can barley do anything any more like driving because she has small to large holes on her thumbs joints that are going to be fused soon and she broses easily (like if you poke her lightly she will Brose and may not ever go away) she goes to the hospital at least 2-3 times a year and we call it her "vacation " lol and she has a broken heart chamber she also has gone into a coma 3 years ago for a week plus her doctor is trying to change her medicine ( steroids *not the muscle stuff*) that's she has been on for 20+ years ...she is getting worse and i am 16 in high school and am hoping she will make it pass my freshman year in college. Sorry for the rambling but i have no one who cares to or will listen about my moms issue.

For six years, the man could not speak or eat.
On occasion he showed signs of awareness, and he moved his eyes or a thumb to communicate. His arms were useless. He was fed through a tube.
But researchers chose him for an experimental attempt to rev up his brain by placing electrodes in it. And here's how his mother describes the change in her son, now 38:
"My son can now eat, speak, watch a movie without falling asleep," she said Wednesday while choking back tears during a telephone news conference. "He can drink from a cup. He can express pain. He can cry and he can laugh.
"The most important part is he can say, `Mommy' and `Pop.' He can say, `I love you, Mommy' ... I still cry every time I see my son, but it's tears of joy."
The progress of the patient, who remains unidentified at the family's request, is described more formally in a report in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature.
Experts called the results encouraging but cautioned that the experimental treatment must be tried in more patients before its value can be assessed. The researchers are already proceeding with a larger study.
Before the electrodes were implanted, the man was in what doctors call a "minimally conscious state." That means he showed only occasional awareness of himself and his environment. In a coma or vegetative state, by contrast, patients show no outward signs of awareness.
There are no reliable statistics on how many Americans are in a minimally conscious state, but one estimate suggests 112,000 to 280,000. Doctors may try medications to improve their condition but no drugs have been firmly established as helpful.
The experimental treatment is called deep brain stimulation. It has been used for years in treating Parkinson's disease, although in this case the electrodes were implanted in slightly different places. The goal of the stimulation was to provide "drive" to areas of the brain that are critical for specific skills like speaking.
Similar stories of partial recovery from brain damage occasionally grab headlines, whether the improvement came from treatment or just out of the blue.

Thumb Drive: How Many Pictures Can I Store On A 2.0GB Flash Drive? (2/2/2012)
i have A LOT of pictures...would i have to buy more than one flash drive? and is there a specific brand thats the best? or are they all the same? thanks!
